Winchester 1895

I have a winchester Model 1895 US Army cavalry short barrel 30-40 Krag . This gun was handed down to me and is a tough , reliable , dream to shoot .No kick whatsoever ! Last patent date on barrel is 1907 . The stock was broken and was field repaired . I took it to a gun expert and was told that the field repair was very old because of the hardware and method used and more than likely saw combat in World War One . This gun looks like it has a thousand stories to tell but functions like it was made yesterday . Stocked up on ammo as this old caliber is not easy to find . Clean simple weapon .
