For rifles I keep a 22lr model 597 remington, keltec sub 2000 in 40cal, 223 ruger rancher, and a m24/47 sporterized 8mm mauser. as well as back up replacement guns for the above list and parts cleaning supplies etc, also many shotguns and mostly revolvers but a couple semi auto. How much ammo is enough is there such a thing as too much ammo?

i have added many more rifles to the stash has anyone used chamber inserts for mosin nagant,or 308

It is hard to sacrifice anything when it comes to your rifle. Next to your brain it is the most important survival tool you will ever own. I found out a long time ago, what you leave behind on a trip to lighten your load will most likely be the first thing you need. Rugged, proven, and accurate, what other words are there when it comes to a rifle.
