Spanish mauser M95 cavalry carbine

Spanish M95 Cav. short and sweet

Using standard 7.62mm Nato (.308 win) out of a very handy 17" barrel this rifle is handy and manoeuvrable whether inside a vehicle, off an ATV/dirtbike, or horseback.
A tiny carbine with heaps more power and range than both the 7.62x39 or a .223 out of a similar length barrel, the proven mauser action and full wood stock matched with the ability to be able to use currently made modern military ammo whether it be stripped from a link of M60 machine gun ammo or the best sniper grade stuff, it will all work and shoot straight.
PLUS....100 rounds out of a bolt action is gonna last you a hell of a lot longer than 1000 rounds out of a semi or full auto rifle and less maintenance to boot.
Either strapped to your pack or hanging off your shoulder, it's hardly noticeable until you need it then BANG, your the toughest kid on your block again.

Beautiful little rifle, but where can you buy one in the U.S.A.?I googled it and came up with all kinds of variants, and not being real knowlegable about guns, especially this little guy,it gets a little confusing.I am looking for a nice little S.H.T.F. weapon.Thomas.

Subtitle-One

I keep mine for all of the points mentioned. It's simple to operate, surprisingly easy on the shoulder and it looks and feels like it will outlast most everything else you have.

Pint-sized powerhouse
by: Big Tone

Love it. Tough, compact, inexpensive to feed and a little unusual, the mauser bolt action .308 sadle-ring cavalry carbine has the destinction of being both ideal for survival use while querky enough to be quite a collectors item.
Used in conjunction with 5 shot stripper clips and you could keep up quite an intimidating rate of accurite fire.
