Schrade Oldtimer Sharp Finger (USA Discontinued)

Schrade Old Timer Sharp Finger

Schrade Old Timer Sharp Finger

I think I'm showing my age. I have an old USA made Schrade Oldtimer Sharp Finger. I don't know much about it except it holds an edge, sharpens well, and you can split wood with it if you had to.

I do like the Gerber on the knife page, maybe time to upgrade!

Great Classic blade
by: Spook45

The sharpfinger is an all American classic. I have had one of these for ages and still use one for hunting purposes. It is great for skinning, not too keen on it for gutting tho, takes a soft touch to keep from busting guts! The old sharpfinger is a great choice.

Schrade sharpfinger.
by: Brassdropper

Just for the record, the schrade sharpfinger has not been discontinued, it is still shown in their 2010 catalog. It is however no longer made in the United States. All the new sharpfingers are made in China. Which these days does not automatically mean they are junk. I dont own a chinese sharpfinger, but I've looked at them and they look pretty good. The proof is in the use though, looks dont mean a thing.

My Favorite Hinting Knife

It's too bad this knife has been discontinued. I have field dressed and skinned many deer with mine. It's my favorite knife.

Shrade Sharp Finger

My brother used to have a schrade Sharp finger like that. He used it for everything and always brought it hunting / fishing / camping... It never broke, but I think he ended up losing it unfortunately. I always liked the look and feel of that knife.
