this is an over under with 22wmr over an 20ga shotgun. It weights in a little over 8lbs but verry handy in every situation. will kill all game small and large
WONDERFUL little rifles! Since survival is about...well...survival and not was as was mentioned, this is a perfect candidate. Not much more can be said about the 22 LR and the 20 gauge is such an understimated gauge, and happens to be my primary survival gauge.

.22 mag/20 g top gun by: Anthony Twidale
This combo with the appropriate ammo will cover any wilderness survival situation anywhere in the world. I have had my Atlas .22m/20g fully parkerized just to add a little more to it's weather protection.
My combo shoots to the same point of impact with .22m's, 20g shot and 20g slugs. I carry an all steel weaver 1-4 power scope with leupold QR mounts that i can take off in an instant if i need to though using the 1x power setting i can keep the scope on for the shotty.

Yes, the savage model 24 in combo 22 mag/20. It's a great one for survival in the wilderness, you have versatility with the 20 gauge shot gun for birds, small and medium animals with the appropriate ammo and you don't explode small animals like squirels or rabbits if you use the rifle barrel. It also offers good fire power for personal protection.
