Recently a prepping buddy introduced me to the paracord survival bracelet. It is pretty simple, you can make it yourself or buy it if you dont have time. It is ruggedly fashionable and in an emergency, you can unravel it and have about 12' of 50 cord to use for whatever you need it for. They sell them on ebay and stuff like that. There are tutorials and instructions both on the web and on Utube. we make our own and we use the quik release buckle(hard to find that small, we get a $2.00 cat collar from freds or something and steal the buckle) Great piece of gear with discrete means. Some folks weave in fish hooks, sinkers andything you can get to stay between the weave and use in the field.
