My Marlin 336W, 30/30 lever action with plain iron sights

I bought mine off the shelf and intend to use it as my primary survival/defences rifle. It's light and solid enough for my purpose and has a very good reputation in terms of reliablity and history. It does not look intimidating compared to modern assault rifles. I am just worried about the 30/30 ammo supply as Big5, Walmart, and other gun stores are out for several weeks already, yet everywhere I read (internet) they say that 30/30 ammo is plentiful. I hope someone comments about availability of this ammo.
For backup, I have a G17 and a Ruger P95PR.

Oscar,
I think I would make sure the iron sights are zeroed as well as the scope. A survival rifle could get bumped around and knock the scope out easier than the iron sights. A G-17? Might want to reconsider that one. At least go with a .40 cal.. Ammo is still easy to get and is more potent than a 9mm. But you have a plan, and that's a start.
