MRE's - A little expensive, but pound for pound worth the purchase.

Surplus, Meals Ready to Eat (MRE) are dense in energy and nutrition. A single MRE can be made to last for quite some time, with each meal packing 2400-3000 calories. Every item is vitamin enriched, and does a great job in balancing out what your missing in a field survival situation.

Although the packaging is bulky, items can be removed and take up no space. Buy a case, you can choose the items you need for your field/camp pack, and then put the box in your car just in case you ever get snowed in on the highway.

Gotta love the MRE's. I tried one the other day that I have had 7-8 years, and it tasted as good as ever.
