Mosin Nagant M91/30

by DarylD
(Georgia)

The first time I surrendered to buying one of these led to the Purchase of three more. One is my main shooter with the only mod being a good recoil pad. The second is in pristine condition and is being kept stock. The third 91/30 is now residing in an ATI monte carlo stock as a project rifle. The 4th is essentially a parts rifle but can be shot if need be.

Firing corrosive ammo is a pain (cleanup wise) but the ammo is cheap and fires every time I have pulled the trigger. Brown and Silver Bear ammo is excellent.

A piece of history, for sure.

Another Mosin Fan

I have a 1891/30 made in Tula circa 1933. (see my posting). I have shot nothing but Brown Bear 203 grain soft point, and I agree that this ammo seems of excellent quality. My Mosin has turned out to be an excellent bargain, and a great value. The price fit my budget perfectly! Thank the Lord for military surplus rifles. I think they're often underappreciated by a lot of gun buyers. Milsurp rifles can get the job done at a fraction of the cost of a new rifle.
