This is a brand carried by Harbor Freight. I have looked at a couple of these. I had plotted on buying one to bury in a cache, but in my location I have better options to aquire higher quality for the same or less money. As a knit pick, I can pick on it a little bit. I dont like the handle because it is noot very grippy and in extreme cold, it could be uncomfortable in many ways. My main issue with this knife is that it has no tang(not orange drink, the part that runs thru the handle)the blade is pinned onto the handle at the hilt. This makes for a very weak structure and it will likely break under heavy use or extreme stress. Thus the question, Does it work? If you are content with it and it satisfies the purposes for which you bought it, the its just fine. I myself, put a lot of stock in the knife and I would not be comfortable betting my life on that blade. If I did not have a good option locally, I would go to walmart and buy a Buck 119 fixed blade hunting knife. It will do everything you want, survival issues, skinning, carving, combat purposes, its about $40 I think and it will perform. Just my two cents.
