Cold Steel SRK

Longer time ago I have chosen the knife Cold Steel SRK as my favorite knife. The reasons were simple: 1. Full tang construction and stainless steel 2. An optimal blade length and thickness 3. Comfortable and water resistant Kraton handle 4. Perfect fitting Secure-ex sheath When I was younger, I had prefered knives a la Rambo but as I was getting older, I understood what the real need is so I could better imagine what to look for. This knife is not too big so I can do both fine and hard works like carving and block splitting if necessary. I know I am not going to pry the door on helicopter or battle tank and if everybody would forget fantasy and use his or her knife the way like it should be we will realise that almost all knives with blade length between 4-7 inches and blade thickness around 3,5-5 mm is quite enough for common use even in survival situation. |
