Buck 119 Special

Buck 119 Special

Buck 119 Special (moderators buck 119)

Its a nice size and I like the Cocobola handle. However I have not put it through any real "test" yet.

Buck 119 special
by: Anonymous

I am from Africa where I hunted all my life.
Back in the late sixties, my best friend bought two Buck 119 specials Knives.
My pal gave me one, for those that don't know this knive it is one of the finest knives I ever owned. It still looks the day I recieved it.
The knive holds a perfect edge I have used on numerous Cape buffalo, caped many ELEPHANT for American Hunters.
Should any one wish to buy one, and know how to put a good edge on it, I can asure it will be the best knive you will ever own.

many years ago buck make excellent knife remember the buck master or the u.s. army bayonet for exemple and the company garanted all model they make.I buy some differnt model of buck knife
(fixed blade and pocket knife) over the years ex: every day pocket knife, hunting knife, skinner , fishing knife and some time I use as a machete and they do the job,ok I never test the new model
but the old buck knife are good and I recomend this brand + buck offer a lot of diffent model
you choose a model for what you need and what you do. a good knife is important in the wilderness but don't forget your axe

Ihave the black 119 special. Great knife for the money. I'm not real crazy about the sheath, but the knife is pretty indestructible. ..so is the sheath actually, but the leather snap around the handle makes it difficult to remove the knife and put it back.
