Rossi Ranch Hand

The new Rossi Ranch Hand
is a cool little lever gun worth a look.
Rossi firearms have been manufactured and owned by Taurus for a number
of year now. An interesting variation of the Model 92, the
Rossi Ranch Hand is a compact, lightweight lever gun available
in .38/.357, .44 Magnum, and .45 Colt. At only 24 inches in
length, the Ranch Hand is easily stowed in your gear,
vehicle, ATV, etc. (Always observe concealed weapon laws.)
| The Stock is shortened, as well as the barrel, which is a
mere 12 inches long. The Ranch Hand weighs in at 4
lbs, and features a large loop lever and trigger guard
for gloved hands. The rifle has a capacity of 6
rounds, if you prefer a little more capacity, Rossi also
has a carbine version of the model 92 availablie in the same
calibers. The carbines will give you a couple more
rounds in the magazine, 4 more inches of barrel, and a
full stock. The trade off of course is size and
weight. |

Lever action rifles in handgun calibers are a very
popular choice for a lot of guys that spend time in the
outdoors, and the Rossi Ranch Hand is no
exception. Toting a rifle and revolver that
use the same ammo makes a lot of sense, and the
.38/.357/.45/.44 round speak for themselves.
Another option with a weapon like this is
the shotshell round, which packs a good little punch
in these calibers, and brings just another
aspect of versatility to this choice of survival
rifle. |
While the fit and finish of the Rossi may not be that of an
old Browning model 92, most would agree that for the price, you
could do a lot worse than the Rossi Ranch Hand, or Rossi guns
in general.
