The Kershaw Roughneck Knife. 

Manufactured by KAI USA, in Oregon, Kershaw roughneck knives are a great choice for someone who wants an outstanding knife, at a very good price.  Kershaw puts a great, long lasting edge on their blades.  The Roughneck measures just over 11 inches, with a 6 1/4" blade.  The non-slip handle makes it easy to hang onto in wet conditions.

The full tang AUS-6A blade has a partially serrated top, a great way to incorporate the capabilities of a serrated edge, and still keep the straight edge guys happy.  The roughneck comes with a black leather sheath, and can be found in the $30 range.  If you are looking for quality at an afforadble price, consider the Kershaw roughneck. MSRP as of May 2009 is $59.95, but you can pick one up for around half that if you look around.   Another great Kershaw product is the D2 blade outcast.
