Benchmade CSK - model 156

Some of the better quality knives on the market today are made by benchmade.  The benchmade CSK (Combat Survival Knife) is a beautiful piece of work.  The CSK has a 6 inch D2 tool steel blade, and is available with straight or serrated edges.  This knife and all benchmade knives are made to take extreme punishment.

The CSK comes with a black nylon sheath with a removable pouch, and can be purchased for about $85 - $100.   A cool benefit you get when you buy a benchmade knife is their "LifeSharp service".  You just send your knife back to them and they will put a factory edge back on it, all you have to do is send them five bucks for shipping.   You have to be willing to give up your knife for about 4 weeks, but what better excuse to buy a backup knife !

Update: The Model 156 CSK has unfortunately been discontinued.  The new CSK is the Model 158 CSKII:

Benchmade's MSRP is $100, but average internet pricing is around $75.   The most notable difference is the new CSKII blade is 1095 carbon steel, versus D2 tool steel on the older CSK.   The sheath is now a molle sheath, and the new handle has a lanyard hole.  The original CSK is still available via discontinued dealers on the internet, and is still holding its price well.
