Lee Enfield SMLE

Lee Enfield SMLE

I have a Lee Enfield in caliber .303 British and I use it for deer, bear, and moose hunting it's a precise rifle and the ammo is sale at a lower price. The lee enfield make a lot of war around the world and do the job so it can do a good survival rifle at a low price.

He was caught and shot using rule .3...0...3

Whats the old saying?...
The Germans built a rifle for hunting,
The Americans built a rifle for competition, and...
The British built a rifle for WAR!
Generally regarded throughout the world as the pre-emminent battle rifle of the 20th century, the venerable "smelly" (short, magazine,Lee-enfield) has given stirling service on the worlds battlefields from the 1890's onwards, all through WWI then WWII, Korea, Aden, Malaya and a hundred other "dirty little wars" in between. It was also a regular Vietnam battlefield pickup at the begining of that war as well.
With its silky smooth rear locking action the rifle proved so addept that German troops first thought they were being opposed by British and Commonwealth forces all using machineguns the rate of fire was so withering. The ten shot magazine was certainly a devistating concept for the time.
Voted by all nations as the best sniper rifle of WWII, the weapon in this configuration saw service with all British and Commonwealth forces right up until 1994, and with the rifles inherant accuracy for sporting and survival purposes the Lee-Enfield .303 has shot more Bulls, Bucks, Boars, and Bastards than most other calibres put together!....As the famous Australian bush larrakin and well known Boer War Cavalry soldier Harry Harbord (Breaker) Morant said just before he was shot by firing squad (all using .303's) for shooting Boer POW's and a German Missionary .....
"Shoot straight ya bastards and don't make a mess of me"!
Seeing service everywhere in the world from arctic tundra to deserts and steeming jungles the Lee-Enfield will not jam or missfeed, it dosn't ping after the 8th shot and will kill stuff as far out as you can see it, be it fire ants or freakin' grizzly bears.

Enfield SMLE

FOR A RIFLE ALMOST 100 YRS OLD IT STILL FUNCTIONS FLAWLESSLY AND WILL KILL A DEER OR ELK AT 150 YRDS JUST FINE. iT IS ALSO FUN TO SHOOT. JUST A BIT ON THE HEAVY SIDE. RECOIL IS VERY MANAGEABLE.

by: Kim - San Francisco

this rifle is build like a tank. It always fires, and you have 9 backup rounds. use it to break down a door.. it is one solid firearm. adequately accurate under 200 yards.. which I consider real.

Enfield MK4 No1.
by: Henry - Lubbock TX

Years ago I read Mel Tappans, Survival Guns. He actually refered to the Enfield, as the poor mans assualt rifle. I managed to find a brand new Enfield, and it would be my first choice. Super accurate, and I have plenty of ammo, and stripper clips. I purchased additional spare parts and complete tool set. Armory manual just arrived! Will reload my own cardridges I'm in heaven
